Fast Cars On Local Roads

This weekend, watch out for 40 Ferrari’s on North Texas highways!  Its part of a fundraiser for Plano’s CITY House, which helps homeless and abused children.

The fancy and fast cars are going to leave the Four Seasons in Las Colinas and travel to the new “My Friend’s House” being built at 6525 Independence Parkway in Plano.  You can check out the cars and learn about the new facility being built to house homeless children.    Later, the cars will be at the Texas Motor Speedway in Far North Fort Worth where you can take your picture with cars and watch them run along the track.

Diane Peterson, Stuntwoman and the chair of the Ferrari Passione joined us live on NBC 5 Today Saturday morning at 6:00 to talk about the event and her car.  Peterson describes the cars as “fast and sleek.”  She says they can go up to 175 miles per hour.  She won’t say if she’s ever tried driving that fast in North Texas!

You won’t get a test drive but you can take a picture with the Ferrari’s at the TMS Saturday afternoon.  Or you can vote on your favorite one Sunday afternoon at the Four Seasons Resort in Las Colinas.
