This morning, NBC 5′s Kristi Nelson is shining the Spotlight on 2000 Roses. The agency helps women ex-offenders find housing, counseling and job training. There are 12,000 women serving time in Texas prisons.
We talked to 2000 Roses Founder Kelly Wiley developed this program to help other women.

The Oak Cliff based program houses women in transition. The Rose Garden store in the 800 block of West Davis sells candles and other household items. You can also buy necklaces made by the women. You can beautify your house while helping an ex-offender get back on her feet.
The store is usually open Tuesday-Saturday. If you want to help or stop by, click on www.2000roses.org
